By playing, I have discovered that various yarns can create a whole different feel to the pattern.

Now you can have a fuzzy chick! This Woolly Chick was knit using gold Frog Tree Alpaca sport weight with Trendsetter Aura white carried along. Carry the Aura every other row (it gets a bit much, otherwise).

I added black bead eyes so they would stand out against the Aura's fuzziness. You may need to give it a haircut to define the shape!

AuraSnowman.jpg

This Woolly Snowman used a strand of Cascade 220, #8010, worsted weight and a strand of Trendsetter's Aura cream carried together. The Aura is carried every other round.

Beads are used for the eyes and mouth. They stand out amongst the fluff better than the french knots do. A wired ribbon is used for a scarf.

This Harvest Pumpkin was knit with Nature Spun worsted, Orange You Glad, and Trendsetter Aura, orange. No Aura on the stem though. I used beads here to accent the pumpkin's warts, giving it texture. I added a 1-inch wire ribbon, folded in half then sewn to the stem, then wrapped around my finger for a curlycue effect.
