These eggs were knitted using Frog Tree Alpaca sport weight and size 7 or 8 double point needles. The colors used were lavender #501 and green #94. I knitted the stripe egg using these two colors.

To create the polka dots, after felting, I cut 1-inch lengths of the same yarn and pulled the plies apart, creating yarn roving. I rolled each yarn fluff into a tiny ball and then needle felted it to the eggs. Then I sewed tiny seed beads, size 11, to the roving dots, creating a dot within a polka dot. And finally, I embroidered the 'feather stitch' using DMC cotton floss and a chenille needle over the striped egg to accent it, adding another color to the egg.

The feathers can be found in any craft store. They come in a multitude of colors and sizes.
